Why "Mucho Gusto"?

When I visited San José (Costa Rica) in 2007, the people would always reply "mucho gusto" after someone would say thank you. Ever since that summer, this phrase has stuck in my mind. Usually, this phrase is said after meeting someone, like "nice to meet you." Yet in this context, it is something even sweeter. I guess it could be translated to "it was indeed a pleasure." What a gentle perspective to life! Therefore, every time I internationally gallivant about the world, I must say "mucho gusto" ... because it is indeed a pleasure to see other cultures and God's creativity in action.
